Morning girls

That's us another weekend nearer to Christmas.  I'm hoping to get the last of my shopping in and the tree up over the next couple of days then hopefully relax a bit till I need to start on the cooking.  That's the bit I hate the most, I absolutely hate all the prep for any meal never mind all that needs doing for Christmas!!

Today's creation is for the new challenge which goes live now on Polka Doodles.

PAPER PIECING AND USE SOME NEWSPAPER ON YOUR CREATIONS

omg I nearly had a heart attack when I seen this one but once I got me head around the newspaper bit with a light bulb moment to paper piece the actual newspaper it was easy peasy!!

       

As you can see I kept away from the cards and made a little wall hanging for a change.

This little cutie is from the Gingerbread Twist CD  and the papers are from the Pen & Paper kit 1

Coloured with copics and newspaper to paper piece part of her outfit. I then cut some snowflakes and hung them from the bottom with a few beads for added decoration

mistletoe - Magnolia Doohickey

large snowflakes - cricut Joys of the Season cart

charm - Hooked on Crafts

seed beads, fibres, beads and ribbon from stash

sentiment was pc generated.

It's brass monkey weather here just now.  Freezing rain on top of the snow has left it very slippery underfoot not to mention bitterly cold and to crown it all I've a stinking cold to boot!!! BAH HUMBUG!!!

It's a new challenge over on Whimsy Inspirations today and it's perfect for all those last minute Christmas makes.  That's unless you've been super organised and have all your cards done lol

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr it's bleedin' freezing!!!!  I'm sat here with a nice warm cuppa and could be tempted not to move too far from the house today.  I hate the winter:(

I'll get right on to today's card for the new challenge over on Crafty Sentiments Designs.
This fortnight it's all about SNOWMEN
I must say that this is probably my favourite thing to see on a Christmas card.  I just love them!!

So using this gorgeous guy ' Snowman Birdhouse was an absolute pleasure for me.

I've kept this card very plain and simple.  No backing papers, just some white card which I embossed for a bit of texture and a doohicky snowflake die which I halved and used to adorn the top corner.  

Coloured with copics as always, some gorgeous Christmas ribbon which I won a week or two ago in a Craft Ribbons challenge and a few wee red gems complete the card.  Oh and a little stickles over the snowflakes:)

So, there's my little bit of inspiration for you girls.  Don't forget to play along, I'm sure you all have a snowman lurking somewhere in your stash.

To Our Valued Customers and Friends:

Over the past week some of you may have noticed intermittent problems with our website resulting in loss of carts, log in problems, and security errors. We apologize for any frustration this may have caused. 

During our attempts to diagnose and correct the issues, we have discovered some problems with our current hosting provider and their servers. In an effort to serve our customers better, we have made the decision to switch providers and move our shop to new servers.

This change/move will require our site to be shut down for a number of hours this weekend. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This change will also result in a delay of our regularly scheduled monthly digital release. But as soon as we are back up and running as normal we will release all the fabulous new images...including those from our brand new digital artist Marika Collins!
