Karen's Doodles this week

Morning girls
Have you all had a good weekend?  Ours was pretty quiet, just how I like it.  Gone are the days of being out and about partying lol.  Think I must be getting old:)
Today over on Karen's Doodles  we have a new challenge for you.  We'd like you to take your inspiration from this photo one this week.
Isn't this gorgeous?  Look at all them lovely pastel colours.  Lots to choose from
there, even do dotty if ya like:)

I went with a couple of the colours, I love pastels so this was right up my street. The little cutie patootie is Ice Cream and is available from Karen's store.  Coloured with copics and some lovely Lavendar Iris and Bubblegum glitters from Sparkle n Sprinkle.  Papers are a digi set from Basic Grey, girls these print our beautifully on a good quality paper and the best bit is you never run out of them lol.  Flowers and scrolls were cut with me cricut, sentiment is pc generated and the yummy ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbons.
Wow, all them links, I need a cuppa now lol.
Hopefully you'll play along again this week girls, it's always lovely to see your creations and don't forget to visit me teamies too and share a comment or two:)

a new style for me

Hi girls
Wait till I tell you how stupid I've been:(  I was making a cuppa last night, had the teapot on the gas and decided me hob  could do with a wipe over.  So, being the idiot I am I used me oven gloves to take the guards off then proceeded to lift the hot ring with me hands!!!!  OUCH - me poor fingers actually stuck to it, talk about painful.  Result is I'm now the proud owner of three fingers with lovely big blisters on:(  So, if yer hob is grubby - leave it be till it's cool lol
Anyway, moan over.  Mandi, one of me lovely new teamies from TPC has launched a new challenge blog.
As the name suggests it's for all those 'less is more' type of cards so I though I'd show her some support and play along.

I think I quite like it:)  Very different from what I would normally do though and not alot to tell either lol
I printed the sentiment straight onto me card then layered a piece of this lovely papers onto it.  Job done!!!
The paper is part of a new kit from Creative Cottage but hopefully I'll be back later with a card to show off some more. Meantime you can have a peep here
 challenges:)
Less Is More - black, white and pink
Allsorts - love love love
Secret Crafter - valentine

anyone for ice skating

Morning girls
Wow, two posts in one day.  It's not often that happens but I wanted to show you this card I made yesterday.  Just for fun too:)  wooooooooooooohooooooooooo how often do we get the chance to do that.  Another one for me Christmas box!!

I've used some more of these gorgeous papers (Websters Pages) that I won in Hazels RAK, love the vintage feel of them.  Image is - can you guess?  Karen's Doodles.  I've merged two in photoshop, skating pair and winter pond.  I love how Karen has started giving us little scenes now too.  It means we can make a little picture for our cards rather than just one image.
Coloured with copics, stickles and a touch of glitter.  Christmas cards need to sparkle don't they?  The sentiment which I though suited perfectly is a freebie from the lovely Paulette over on TLC.
Don't forget to enter our red/pink and white themed challenge this week over on Karen's Doodles if you've time and watch out for my teamies Oldies but Goodies showcase tomorrow too
challenges:
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
PaperPlay - layer it up

Words of love

Morning girls
Hope your all warm as toast and ready to play along with our challenge this week on Creative Cottage. It was Shelly's turn to choose our theme and she's given us a lovely one...........

WORDS OF LOVE
NO IMAGES ALLOWED

So, off I toddled through Tracy's fab kits to find one that had letters in it.  Bella Ballerina came tops as I love the soft pinks in this kit, perfect for our love theme.  This was actually so easy to put together, I printed everything on one a4 sheet of paper.  That's the beauty of digital, print only what you need, so no waste.  I do use a decent weight paper though, this is 200gms which gives a nice finish to the cards.
I punched a little border on some spare white, added the next layer of patterend paper and pop dotted the large letters on top.  A little stamped sentiment from Sparkle n Sprinkle finished it off nicely.
See, told you it was a good one, I do hope you'll play along but please remember the focus of your creation must be words. I'll look forward to seeing what you create:)

challenges:
Simon Says - love is in the air
Crafts 4 Eternity - polka dots
