Friday 7 January 2011

Hello for the second time today.
It's not often I've two cards done in the same day but I wanted to show some support for Hazel over on her new Christmas challenge blog plus show you these gorgeous papers I won in her blog candy.  I've just made it by the skin on me teeth lol

They're by Websters Pages, double sided s too so there are loads of gorgeous vintage designs to choose from.  Thanks Hazel, I love them:) The snowman is by Sassy Cheryl, doesn't she do these sooooooooo well!!!  There's not alot to tell really on this one, coloured with copics, distressed and ripped me papers, added a ribbon and a couple of brads from me stash.
So, so far I've kept to my one Christmas card a week for this year - wonder how long it will last lol

Morning girls
Friday is upon us already, isn't it great to be back to normal?  I'm sooooooooooo glad hubby and the our daughter are back at work and gone from under my feet lol  I like a bit of me own company, esepcially in the mornings when I'm like a bear with a sore head until the caffeine kicks in so yes, much as I love them to bits I was glad to see the back of them:)
It's also time to for the first challenge of 2011 on Totally Papercrafts. Emma has chosen our theme this week and she's like to see

THANK YOU CARDS

We're sponsored by

so, hopefully you'll play along to win some of Paula's fab images.

I've kept this one pretty simple, coloured this cutie paptootie with copic markers and a bit of glitter here and there for some added sparkle.  Papers are Doodlbug which have been laying in me stash since the year dot.  Punched Martha Stewart border to which I added some paper ribbon that I recycled from a Christmas gift and finished off with a couple of brads.  Job done!!

Something new times two

Hi girls
wooooooooooohoooooooooooooo hubby is back to work and I've the house to myself again.  Isn't it great to get back to normal?  I'm sooooooooooo glad that's Christmas and New Year out of the way.
It's also time for our first challenge of 2011 over on the Creative Cottage challenge blog.  So, seeing as it's a new year our theme is
SOMETHING NEW
You can interpret this in any way you choose.  New baby, new house, new crafty stash.  It's up to you:)

I've gone with my new stash.  Nice new Easter bunnies the postie brought me last week in my monthly parcel from Sparkle n Sprinkle.  My second something new was me first try at masking:(  They're a wee bit lopsided aren't they pmsl  If I moved them around on the backer they still looked a bit drunk lol so I decided to leave them as I didn't have time to do it again.  Hubby being at home really ate into me crafting time!!!
Anyway, I coloured with my usual copic markers, papers are the gorgeous Lavendar Sky pack available from Creative Cottage at only £1.99 for the set of 12.  Brads, eyelets and ribbon are from me stash:).  Hopefully you'll have time to play along and don't forget to visit me DT buddies for even more inspiration:)
challenges:
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
The Crazy challenge - all things new (waves Hi girls)
Papertake Weekly - anything goes

let's do Easter

Happy Monday girls
A big cheery wave to my new followers, what a great thing Karen has done to encourage us to get out there and meet new buddies:)
Here it is. my first card of 2011 and it's an Easter one:) Nothing like being prepared is there?
Why? Well this week over on Karen's Doodles the challenge is to

GLITTER IT UP

Thanks to those of you who played along last week, especially as everyone is so busy at this time of year. So, hopefully now all the festivities are done and dusted we can get down to some serious crafting.

So, after searching through all me images for one that would look great with loads of glitter I decided on Easter Puppy. I wish you could see this IRL, it's so sparkly but no matter how I took the pic it wouldn't show:( You'll just need to take me word for it:)

I started off with some lilac card which I punched the edges of. Don't know why, just fancied it lol
The gorgeous papers are from Creative Cottage, aren't they lush!!! I then coloured this cutie patootie with my usual choice of copic markers and used a multitude of glitter from Sparkle n Sprinkle (I got some fab new ones in my parcel from Mr Postie the other day). What do you think of the centres of the flowers? You'll never guess what they are? Another wild moment had me colouring in those little fluffy snowballs we use on our Christmas cards, yes copics colour them beautifully and they look smashing. All finished off with a little ribbon from me stash:)
So, there you have it girls, grab those glitters and get crafting:)
