keep it clean and simple for karen's doodles

Morning Girls
It's that time of the week, Wednesday already and time for another challenge on Karen's Doodles UK blog
Thanks to everyone who entered our black white and one other colour last week, myself and the other girls do love to see your wonderful cards.
We've gone for the clean and simple look for this week, not as easy for some, if like me you like your embelllies. It's soooooooooooooo difficult not to add some flowers or gems or ribbon or lace or, or, well you get the drift don't ya!!!

Here's my take on the theme. Papers are Raspberry Road, image is Karen's Doodles Driving Celebration Girl which I coloured with copics apart from the body of the car which I've paper pieced and finished off the headlights with a wee bit of diamond glaze. A few brads around the circle (told ya I'm no good and clean and simple) finished the look. The sentiments are computer generated, just wish I'd put the main circles of the card a little higher as I'm not too pleased with the bottom sitting on the tiles but once they're down the little blighters are down!!! So there you have it, I'll look forward to popping over and seeing your creations.

challenges:
Sketch & Stash - sketch
Pile It On - my favourite things (copics)
Paperplay - a card for a teenager
2 Sisters Challenges - anything goes

Tuesday 6 July 2010

Hi girls
Hopefully your all fine and dandy after the weekend. It persisted it down all day here on Saturday and yesterday wasn't too much better so I got on with colouring a few images.

This little lady is from Karen's Doodles, she's so sweet standing there with her ice cream isn't she? Not that we needed an ice cream this weekend, but we can live in hope for next week!!
The papers are DCVW, can't remember which set though as all I've left is a few loose sheets. Why do the books always fall apart?! I've coloured her with copic markers and added a little stickles to her 'pokey hat'. For the non Scots among us that's her ice cream cone lol All finished off with some brads, eyelets and ribbon from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting girls

challenges:
TiddlyInks - summer fun with water, sand & toys (hope my teddy counts)
Pollycraft - sketch
Creative Cottage - summer
Bunny Zoe Crafts - nice and girly

movie star

Good morning girls
Happy Saturday, I'm hoping we get another sunny weekend, it's be so nice to be outside so much this past week. It's been breezy here in Glasgow but still nice enough to sit out for a bit in the afternoon so bring it on I say!
I'd a little play with another one of Kenny's fabulous images the other night and have finally put together a card. This is Movie Star, isn't she a glamour puss!! These images really are a dream to colour and as usual I've used my copic markers with a little stickles on the 'fur' of her jacket. Papers are a download, Pheobe collection from Basic Grey. I didn't know they did digital but my teamie Emma mentioned it on her blog the other day so of course I had to go check the link. Thanks Emma, me purse is now a good bit lighter:) I've embellished with some ribbon and a few flowers cut from the same paper and a few brads and the sentiment is computer generated.
Thanks for popping by girls, have a great weekend

challenges:
Paperplay - card for a child or a teenager

This week on Totally Papercrafts

Morning girls
What was all that rain about yesterday? Who stole our sun? Although it did give me plenty time to get my card finished for our challenge this week on Totally Papercrafts
Thanks to those of you who played along last week, we saw some fabulous male themed easel cards. Don't forget that we're now having a 'TOP 3' - is it you??? Well pop over to find out.

This weeks we've one of our favourite themes, chosen by the lovely Caroline.

ONE FOR THE GIRLS

wooooooooohoooooooo who doesn't like doing girly???

...........and we've another fab sponsor for you. The lovely Jules from Daisy Doodles!!

As well as giving us some gorgeous images to play with some of her own DT girls have played along this week. Be sure to visit their blogs too and leave the some crafty love.
Here's my card, I've actually left it quite plain as I didn't want to distract from the gorgeous vase of flowers. So I stayed with the clean and simple look and I think it's worked.

Would you believe after I'd it all coloured I'd no matching papers. I'm not guilty of colouring without choosing my papers first but I did this time lol Just as well I've a load of digital sets stored on me puter or I'd have been starting over again! So, these ones are from Funky Fairy's, image is as usual coloured with copics. I've added some stickles, diamond glaze and a few wee gems to the flowers and finished it off with a little butterfly brad.
Thanks for stopping by girls, now go get creating those girly masterpieces for us

challenges:
Magical Crafts - flower power
Simon Says - check it out
Corrosive - flowers. flowers, flowers
