swimming on by

Hello everyone
Hopefully this post finds you well and not at all affected by the horrendous storms these past couple of days.  For once, here in Scotland, we have had lovely warm weather.
Not wall to wall sunshine but nice all the same.

Anyway, today I have something  that I have been working on  for over a week now for the Artbymiran blog.  A canvas, not something I am used to doing but I have seen so many lovely ones I thought I would give it a try.

I merged two images, Mermaid Meara and  Leomaris then printed them out almost a4 size to fit
this 30cm x 40cm canvas.    It took me hours to colour, then a couple more to carefully peel away the backing so I was left with a flimsy enough image to set on the canvas without it looking 'stuck on'  I had a few hairy moments I can tell you :)
Lot's of paint, texture, gems and some other bits thrown in for good measure produced the end result
A huge, huge image to colour but I am thrilled with the results and intend to hang it in our little holiday home in Turkey on our next visit.
Thanks for popping in

Well, that my jollies well and truly over.  I will confess to booking another set of flights to Turkey for later in the year though :)  I just love our wee place in the sun and wish we could spend a lot more time there.  ..wishful thinking eh?

Anyway, today's card is for the Art by Miran June Progressive Challenge on Facebook.
I'm sure loads of you are members of the group but if not pop over and take a look we love seeing your creations with Miran's gorgeous images.

It's that time of the month where I get to showcase one of Miran's gorgeous girls.
I am loving this one DT malarky.  No pressure, no deadlines and no loads of cards to make which end up laying gathering dust.
What about this weather too?  Isn't it fabulous to get up in the morning and it's bright blue skies instead of the usual dull grey morning that usually greets you.  Bring it on :)

coloured with copics

I love all the CAS cards I keep seeing around so decided to give it a go.
I added the paper into my graphics programme, layered on the sentiment and the image then printed it onto my copic paper so I could colour her.
I love how she turned out.
Happy Crafting girls, have a smashing weekend
